Counselling is a collaborative effort between the counsellor and the client. Counselling helps clients identify goals and potential solutions to problems which cause emotional turmoil; helps to improve communication and coping skills; helps to strengthen self-esteem; and promote behaviour change. Counselling can have profound effects on everyday functioning and flourishing, relationships, goal achievement and life satisfaction.
Holistic Counseling is an approach which helps clients to heal by taking the entire human being and their life experiences into consideration. It assesses and incorporates all aspects of a person including physical, mental, emotional and spiritual contexts.
