Livestock's Long Shadow Report by the World Health Organization. This report outlines important information on the effect of the environment on our health. Did you know that the World Health Organisation has estimated that 13 million deaths annually are attributable to preventable environmental causes? The report further outlines that 23% of premature deaths are attributable to environmental factors. The more we protect our environment, the better it is for our health and well-being.

Livestock production is the top contributor to global warming -
Responsible for at least 51% of Our Global Emissions.
Following the Livestock's Long Shadow report, researchers Goodland and Anhang conducted further review and found that livestock production accounts for at least 51% of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions. This booklet outlines how animal agriculture affects our water, air, and land in addition to using up resources such as energy.

Have you ever stopped to consider how the supplements you take are impacting the environment? The good news is that there may be an environmentally-friendly alternative! Many people take fish oil in particular. Fishing has had negative impacts on the oceans around the world and fish farming is environmentally destructive. Toxins in fish and seafood such as mercury and dioxins are bad for our health. To overcome this problem, various companies have produced omega 3 (EPA and DHA) from algae - which is where the fish obtain it! These supplements are undoubtedly more sustainable and environmentally friendly than fish oil and krill oil. Similarly, vitamin D3 from lichen is more environmentally friendly than that obtained from sheep wool lanolin. This also helps to avoid potential toxins such as those from sheep dip and other compounds that may get into the lanolin.
Eating Up the World Free Booklet - Describes how the environment is drained and strained through livestock production.
